“For some reason, when I get in front of her and see my visage reflected back in her gaze, I transform into a totally different person as if something or someone takes over and I feel alive! There is no feeling like when you take a self-portrait and you notice and see all the emotion and confidence that you were wanting to portray. I love taking pictures of others, and the joy of creating this selcouth art for others to cherish is astounding. I guess it goes back to the day my father lost it; instead of holding a grudge or getting equally upset and holding in all that anger, I was able to find peace and escapism through a lens.”
